A Trainee's Guide For Gambling On Craps

If you're new to online casino gambling, you may want to try playing craps. This game can be quite confusing for novice gamblers, however. The betting strategies can be complicated and complex and there is a lot of money at stake, so the risks are high. This game is the same online as it is in a live casino. However, with a free online casino, you may have the option to play for free with imaginary money instead of betting your hard-earned cash. Or you could participate in a freeroll game.

Since learning even just the basics is difficult, this article will only focus on those basics. Later, after you've become a pro with these simple strategies, then you may want to learn more about some of the more complex betting strategies. You may also want to try out those advanced techniques at that time using free play money at a free online casino.

In live casino games, it is very fast moving and takes four different dealers and a shooter to play. On the free online casino websites, the shooter may rotate around the table and the computer does much of the work on paying out winning bets and collecting losing ones.

The basic bet in craps is called the "pass line." Alternatively, you can choose the "don't pass" line-and that means you're betting against the people who are betting on the "pass line" bet. The first roll is called a "come out" roll. That roll sets the number the shooter wants to roll again before "crapping" out with a 7 on the dice. When the "come out" roll is being tossed, a black "off" marker is shown. If an 11 or a 7 is rolled on the dice during the "come out" roll, you'll win even money. After that you don't want to roll a 7 until after you roll the same number as is on the "point" or "come out" roll.

You also do not want to roll a 2, 3, or 12 on the "come out" roll, because that means you lose. Rolling a 8, 9, or 10 or a 4, 5, or 6 is desirable. That roll sets your point. So if you roll an 8, then 8 is the point. You need to roll your point (in this case an 8) again before you roll a 7 to win. So to start the game you place your bet on the pass line and you bet that you'll hit the point before you roll a 7. If you choose to place your bet on the "don't pass" line, that means you are betting you will not hit the point before you roll a 7. In other words, you're betting you'll roll a 7 before you roll an 8 in this case.

For instance:

The dealer has the black "off" marker on the table, and everybody bets. The shooter rolls the "come out" dice and gets a 7, so everybody wins except for the "don't pass" bettors, which means the opposite- they lose.

The process starts over, except this time the shooter rolls a 5. The dealer flips the black "off" marker over to the white "on" side and places it next to the 5 on the board. The shooter continues to roll and finally rolls a 5, without hitting a 7 first, so everybody wins, except for the "don't pass" bettors.

This time, the process starts over and the shooter rolls a 6. The white "on" marker goes on the 6, but the shooter rolls several times and finally rolls a 7, with no 6 coming up first. Everybody loses except for the bettors on the "don't pass" line and they win.

These are the basics of online casino gambling and the game of craps. Free online casinos are the best way to start learning the game and getting familiar with the odds before you move on to more complex strategies and real money.
